The President of the Republic, Filipe Nyusi, on Wednesday inaugurated a new resettlement village for 140 families resettled from the Limpopo National Park in Chicualacuala district, Gaza province.
In addition to 140 improved homes, the village of Salane has piped drinking water and electricity provided by solar panels.
The Limpopo National Park resettlement project started in 2015, since when four communities, comprising altogether about 6,000 people, have been resettled.
Four more communities located in the conservation area are yet to be relocated.
