Central Launching Ceremonies of the 2021 Agricultural Commercialization Campaign and the III National Forum of Agricultural Commercialization
The Ministry of Industry and Trade will hold, on April 16 (Friday), in Chonguene, Gaza Province, the Central Launching Ceremonies of the 2021 Agricultural Commercialization Campaign and the III National Forum of Agricultural Commercialization, under the theme "Agricultural Commercialization as a Driver of Agro-business and Industrialization".
The event that will be replicated throughout the country, aims to urge producers and stakeholders in the commercialisation process, for the start of the 2021 agricultural commercialisation campaign, and to disseminate in general, the intervention actions of economic agents in the agricultural commercialisation value chain, in order to ensure the absorption of all surplus and improve coordination between producers and stakeholders in the productive and commercial value chain.
The event will be held in a hybrid model: virtual and face-to-face, with the participation of exhibitors for the agro industrial and services fair and actors in the agricultural production and commercialisation chain.
The ceremony will comprise three distinct moments: Exhibition of local products, including fortified products and support services to the marketing and production chain; Launch of the Agricultural Marketing Campaign 2021, which will consist of the awarding of the actors who stood out the most in the agricultural marketing campaign 2020; and finally, the holding of the III National Agricultural Marketing Forum, which will consist of dialogue with actors in the production, marketing, processing, distribution, consumption and export chain of national products, with a view to identifying constraints and opportunities in the process, and also plenary debate sessions arising from the presentations of the themes.
Agricultural commercialisation plays an important role in the national economy, being one of the main sources of income for populations, especially in rural areas and a mechanism to link production areas to consumption centres, as well as an inductive instrument to increase agricultural production and productivity.
