Mozambique Number of confirmed mpox cases rises to 13

Mozambique receives, on Monday (March 8), another 485 thousand doses of the vaccine against Covid-19, of which 100 thousand doses are donated by India and 385 thousand come from the COVAX mechanism, according to guarantees given by the Minister of Health, Armindo Tiago, speaking to “Notícias” after the launch of the National Vaccination Plan.
The new doses arrive in the country at a time when the National Vaccination Campaign against Covid-19 begins. In this first phase, the immunisation of 65,000 health professionals is expected. The goal is that vaccinations reaches nearly 17 million Mozambicans, excluding pregnant women and children under 15 years of age.
