Mozambique: Women protest in Maputo hospital against obstetric violence

The bad weather affecting Maputo, Gaza and Inhambane provinces in southern Mozambique since Friday may persist until tomorrow (Tuesday 15-02), according to Mozambique’s National Meteorological Institute (INAM).
Severe thunderstorms accompanied by rainfall of between 50 and 100 mm and winds of up to 70 km/h can be expected.
Warnings have been issued for Matutuíne, Boane, Namaacha, Marracuene, Moamba, Magude and Manhiça districts in Maputo province, along with Maputo and Matola cities.
In Gaza province, the bad weather could hit Chicualacuala, Chigubo, Mabalane, Chibuto, Massingir, Limpopo, Chonguene, Massangena, Mapai, Guijá, Mandlakazi and Bilene districts, and the cities of Chókwè and Xai-Xai.
In Inhambane province, the districts of Zavala, Inharrime, Panda, Jangamo, Homoine, Morrumbene, Funhalouro, Massinga, Vilanculos, Mabote, Inhassoro and Govuro, and the cities of Maxixe and Inhambane should also be on the alert.
The INAM also warns of waves up to five metres high in the region south of the 24th parallel.
