The Mozambican government yesterday declared access to the Government Gazette (Boletim da República) “universal and free” via the Internet, under a decree given the green light by the Council of Ministers.
“The Government approved the decree that establishes, as a public service, universal and free access to the Government Gazette, edited and published in electronic format, along with other conditions of its use,” the final statement of Tuesday’s cabinet meeting declares.
“Universal and free” access includes “the possibility of printing, archiving and searching the acts published in the Boletim da República on the website managed by the National Press of Mozambique”.
The decision comes within the scope of implementing measures to improve access to public information.
