Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa has been re-elected Pas president of Portugal in Sunday’s elections, when the results of 53 parishes are still to be calculated, according to official data.
In the parishes that have issued their results there are fewer than the number of votes that separates Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa from the second most voted candidate until now in these elections, Ana Gomes, so the current resident has been re-elected, according to calculations from the statistical portal Eyedata, available at www.lusa.pt.
When the results were still to be calculated in 53 parishes and three consulates, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa was the most voted candidate, with 61.62% of the votes.
According to data from the General Secretariat of the Ministry of Internal Administration – Electoral Administration, Ana Gomes was the second most voted candidate, with 12.25%.
