The National Directorate of Civil Identification (DNIC) announced yesterday afternoon that its Kampfumo service desk in Avenida Eduardo Mondlane, Maputo city, would, from today and for a period of ten days, start providing only minimum services, after a further seven employees working there tested positive for Covid-19.
According to a press release, the newly diagnosed employees from this branch will quarantine at home under monitoring by the Health Department of the Ministry of the Interior, while the facilities are disinfected and the rest of the workforce tested for Covid-19.
As a result, only five of KaMPfumo’s 35 counters will be operational, so as to guarantee minimum services to the public, with employees from Maputo city mobilised for the purpose.
The DNIC notes that, during this period of time, services will still be available as normal at its 24 de Julho, Kamavota (Laulane), Kamubukuane, Katembe, Kamaxaquene and Magoanine premises.
