Mozambique: Call for First Lady to take position against "silent massacre" of gender violence
Mozambique reported on Wednesday (January 6) one Covid-19 death and a further 125 confirmed cases of the respiratory disease, bringing the death toll to 172 and the cumulative number of coronavirus cases in the country to 19,667.
During the period under analysis, a 64-year-old Mozambican man died from Covid-19 in Maputo City.
The City of Maputo recorded forty (40) cases, corresponding to 32% of the total new cases reported today across the country, followed by the Province of Manica with thirty-seven (37) cases, corresponding to 29.6%.
In the same period, there were 72 recovered patients, so the country currently now has 17,141 recoveries.
The death toll currently stands at 172.
