Mozambique: Cahora Bassa exceeds 2019 power production by 4.7%

The Cahora Bassa Hydroelectric Plant produced 15,350 gigawatts in 2020, 4.7% more than the previous year, the company announced
Cahora Bassa Hydroelectric managed to produce a total 15,350.8 GWh of energy in 2020, a figure that represents a 2.7% overshoot of the planned target for the year, and a 4.7% increase the figure for 2019.
HCB will continue to implement its planned modernisation of the electro-producer park and its operation and maintenance processes, with the overall aim of improving power reliability and equipment availability rates.
