The National Meteorological Institute (INAM) has warned of excessive heat in Tete and Zambézia provinces tomorrow, with maximum temperatures varying from 38 to 42 degrees Celsius.
There is a possibility of downpours accompanied by thunderstorms, strong, gusting wind and hail over the same period.
The “continuation of hot to very hot weather” is due to the fact that the country is “under the influence of low pressure systems”.
However, a mass of cold air will arrive in southern Mozambique today, resulting in “a gradual drop in temperature in southern and central parts of the country”.
