The National Institute of Meteorology (INAM) foresees the occurrence of strong winds with gusts up to 80km / h, starting today (20), in the provinces of Maputo, Gaza and Inhambane, a region that is registering intense heat between 37 and 40 degrees Celsius.
In a statement, INAM warns of taking precautionary and safety measures, given the risk associated with strong winds and intense heat, due to the potential to cause damage to infrastructures and to knock down trees and electricity poles.
The phenomenon could affect all districts in the provinces of Maputo and Gaza, while in Inhambane it may affect Panda, Zavala, Inharrime, Jangamo, Morrumbene, Maxixe and the city of Inhambane.
