Terrorists killed two people in the village of Ntapuala, Macomia district, ‘Carta de Moçambique’ reports today.
Ntapuala is located just over 6 km from the capital of Macomia district, which was the target of a failed terrorist last week. According to local sources, the terrorists attacked the village last Sunday night and beheaded two people.
The situation, sources say, has left the region’s residents in a panic. Some families spent the night in the bush, while others took refuge in neighbouring villages.
Macomia district, one of the most important in Cabo Delgado, has been the target of a new onslaught by terrorists since late September. Last Friday, the terrorists camped near the Mucojo administrative post, to the consternation of the population in the area.
Other attacks, according to ‘Carta’ sources, were recorded in the villages of Churumba and Olumbe, in Quissanga and Palma districts respectively. Sources say there were no reported casualties, and only material damage, in the two incidents.
