Mozambique: Two arrested in Ressano over fake Covid-19 test certificates – Watch

Police have detained two individuals for allegedly forging negative Covid-19 test result certificates.
The pair were arrested in Ressano Garcia, Moamba district, Maputo province, in possession of the laptop and printer they allegedly used to produce counterfeit documents certifying negative coronavirus test results.
The young men, who reportedly charged three thousand meticais for each certificate, have admitted to producing the forgeries.
SERNIC inspector Elino Panguana says the police are currently looking for an alleged mastermind reportedly known as ‘Freeman’ and still at large.
A health technician in the provincial health services, Rosa Baraça, revealed that the fake certificates used the logo of a Private Hospital of Maputo laboratory.
