Phoenix Seeds is a seed company based in Vanduzi district, Manica province, dedicated to the production and marketing of certified maize, soya, pigeon pea, sugar bean, sesame and cow pea seed, in addition to small volumes of other seed types.
Phoenix is known for marketing some of the highest quality seed in the country: varieties of locally adapted, high yielding, short cycle and drought resistant.
The Phoenix Seed project is almost unique as it is a vertically integrated seed production/investigation, processing and sales business, involving a commercial farming hub (its own farm) with additional smallholder and commercial out-growers.
