Mozambique: Alleged terrorist recruiter released

The alleged terrorist recruiter arrested in Mueda district last Saturday by members of the Defence and Security Forces and later transferred to Montepuez in Cabo Delgado has been released from custody.
Carta de Moçambique reports today that 39-year-old Joseph Adremane Kumocho, born in the district of Mocímboa da Praia, was released after family members and acquaintances convinced authorities that he was not the wanted person.
Carta reports that the authorities have also released three ‘fuzileiros’, detained in the district of Ibo in April, without any criminal proceedings being opened against them. They were nevertheless, the Carta adds, required to post bail.
