The Mozambican National Investment Bank (BNI) has appointed Omar Mithá as the chairman of its board of directors, a source has told Lusa.
Omar Mithá, who has been adviser to President Filipe Nyusi since April of this year, was appointed to the post on September 24 during a meeting of the BNI General Assembly, an institution source reports.

Until the date of his appointment, the functions of the BNI chairman of the board of directors were exercised by the chairman of the institution’s executive committee, Tomás Matola, who, with Mitha’s appointment, will revert to that role only.
