Eight people died and two were seriously injured in Maputo province this Monday in an accident involving two passenger buses- more specifically, a minibus[Chapa] and a bus] – in the Matola Rio area, the provincial hospital and the police have confirmed.
According to the police, irregular overtaking was the cause of the accident.
“There were eight deaths. The accident happened at around 5:30 a.m.. It was a collision between two vehicles. The cause of the accident was irregular overtaking,” the police said.
