Mozambique: Around 400 deaths, 1,800 injuries in six cyclones
One person died in the last 24 hours due to the novel coronavirus in the city of Maputo, bringing the total number of fatalities from the pandemic in the country to 20, the Ministry of Health reported on Thursday ( MISAU).
According to MISAU, the patient also suffered from another chronic disease.
Meanwhile, in the last 24 hours a total of 1,351 people were tested, of which 1,281 were negative and 70 others were positive.
Therefore, Mozambique has, cumulatively, 3,115 positive cases of COVID-19.
The new cases are from the provinces of Cabo Delgado, Nampula, Manica, Sofala, Maputo and Maputo City. Among the positives is a five-year-old child.
In terms of geographical distribution, the newly diagnosed cases are as follows: 06 are from Cabo Delgado, 06 from Manica, 03 from Nampula, 02 from Gaza, 17 from Maputo province and 36 from Maputo city.
