FDS foil attempted terrorist attack in Mocímboa da Praia – report

A report on the unofficial website “Noticias de Defesa” claims that the Mozambican Defence and Security Forces (FDS) foiled an attempted terrorist attack in Mocímboa da Praia in the early hours of Thursday morning.
“Terrorists tried to attack Mocímboa da Praia on the morning of August 6, 2020. The Defence and Security Forces responded decisively and forced the miscreants to quit the battlefield and take refuge in the homes of civilians,” the report reads.
According to the same source, the FDS managed to corner the terrorists “immediately, and start house-to-house searches with a view to annihilating them”.
