Lawyers consulted by the Sala da Paz differ on possible Covid-19 prevention measures to be announced today by the President of the Republic, but agree that all possibilities are open.
Among them are the declaration of a new State of Emergency, the declaration of State of Siege, or the declaration of State of Calamity.
The Sala da Paz has information from reliable sources indicating that deputies from all provinces remain in the capital city after appreciating the presidential report on the 120 days of the State of Emergency yesterday .
Their continued presence, sources indicate, is intended to allow them to hold a session immediately, should measures announced by the president require parliamentary intervention.
