Mozambique: Cabo Delgado needs $1.2M to tackle rainy season impacts - INGD

Mozambique today reported 56 more cases of infection with Covid-19, bringing the number of cumulative cases to 1864, of which 1689 are locally transmitted and 175 are imported.
Of the new cases, thirty (30) are from Cabo Delgado province, one (01) from Niassa province, four (04) from Nampula province, one (01) from Zambézia province, six (06) from Sofala province, three (03) from Maputo province and eleven (11) from Maputo city.
Of the fifty-six (56) cases reported today, fifty-three (53) are individuals of Mozambican nationality, one (1) South African, one (1) Zambian and one (1) Honduran.
The country currently has 1,210 active cases of COVID-19, distributed as follows: Niassa province – 22; Cabo Delgado province – 261; Nampula province – 230; Zambezia province – 28; Tete province – 19; Manica province – 17; Sofala province – 34; Inhambane province – 28; Gaza province- 53; Maputo province – 244 and Maputo city – 274.
Three more people recovered in the last 24 hours, so the total of recoveries rises to 641.
