Mozambique recorded 19 more cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours and four more recoveries.The country now has 1,111 positive cases cumulatively registered, with 1,025 locally transmitted and 86 imported.
In the past 24 hours, the country tested 1,312 suspected cases, of which 965 in public sector laboratories and 347 in the private sector.
The new cases reported today are all of Mozambican nationality and are in isolation at home. At this moment, the process of tracing their contacts is underway.
“We want to inform you that we registered four more (04) cases fully recovered from COVID-19; one (01) in Cabo Delgado Province, one (01) in Inhambane Province, one (01) in Gaza Province and one (01) in Maputo Province. All individuals are of Mozambican nationality and lived in isolation during the period of the disease ”, advances MISAU.
Mozambique currently has 344 patients fully recovered, nine deaths due to COVID-19 and two deaths due to other causes.
“Therefore, we have 756 active cases, distributed as follows: Province of Niassa – 12; Cabo Delgado – 187; Nampula – 253; Zambezia – 24; Tete – 15; Manica – 17; Sofala – 21; Inhambane – 29; Gaza – 14; Maputo Province – 78 and Maputo City – 106 ”, MISAU reports.
