Mozambique: Mueda administrator confirms restrictions on movement in the district - report

A total of 27 people have been abducted in the administrative posts of Quiterajo and Mucojo, Macomia district, Cabo Delgado province, in the last two weeks.
According to ‘Carta de Moçambique’ sources in the region, the victims were kidnapped during incursions carried out by the insurgents, and include 14 women, mostly teenagers.
Sources say that, of the 13 men abducted, six were killed, and their bodies found close to the village of Ingoane, in Mucojo administrative post.
The group has attacked the villages of Ingoane, Nacutuco, Mitacata, Natugo 2, Napala and Pequeue in recent weeks.
