Blackout leaves several neighbourhoods in Maputo and Matola in the dark – Watch

Several districts in the cities of Maputo and Matola have been without electricity since around 5 p.m. this Friday , as a result of a blackout from the high voltage tower in the Fomento district.
According to EDM, the power cut happened to save a man who climbed the power tower at an important transmission point, in Fomento, Matola.
As a result, several neighbourhoods, such as belo Horizonte, Matola-Rio, in Matola, and most of Maputo city, are in the dark.
EDM also said that it disconnected the access points to the energy to save the man who climbed the tower, for reasons not yet determined. It is assumed that the individual is mentally disturbed. Works are reportedly underlay to remove this man from the tower, the ED spokesperson tells Miramar in the interview below.
