Water distribution to the province and city of Maputo may be disrupted as a result of a power cut at the Umbelúzi water treatment plant, following the downing of high voltage cables in the Tedeco area, Boane district.
A statement from company Águas de Maputo indicates that technical teams are on the ground tackling the crisis, and that normal water distribution is expected to resume this Friday, once reserves are replenished.
