The government-Renamo Joint Committee yesterday held its second session to lay the groundwork for a meeting between President Filipe Nyusi and Renamo leader Afonso Dhlakama.
A press release summarizing the three-hour meeting described it as positive.
According to Deputy Jose Manteigas, there was agreement on the agenda of the meeting between Filipe Nyusi and Afonso Dhlakama and on the terms of reference of the dialogue, but said the consensus still needed to be approved by the two leaders.
The next session is scheduled for tomorrow Wednesday, June 1, and a date for the meeting is expected to be announced soon.
