Mozambique: Malnutrition among children under five dropped to 37% in 2013-23

The 28 Mozambicans stranded in Pakistan by travel bans imposed following the Covid-19 pandemic returned home via Malawi, crossing the border at Zóbué in Tete province, Radio Mozambique reported on Sunday (June 7).
The head of the Public Health Department in Tete, Daniel Gonçalves, said that the returnees would remain in quarantine until their test results, to be sent this Monday, came back from National Institute of Health laboratory in Marracuene, Maputo.
“We will have the results In 48 hours. After that, they will proceed to their final destinations. They come from four provinces – most are from Tete, with others from Sofala, Nampula and Manica,” Gonçalves explained.
