Mozambican health authorities reported on Friday (April 10) three more cases of COVID-19 in the country and one more case of recovery, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 20.
Two of the latest cases were detected from the contacts of a previously confirmed case in Cabo Delgado and the other one was from Maputo, said Rosa Marlene, the National Director of Public Health Rosa at a press briefing.
The director said that at the moment a total of 537 tests have been carried out, of which 54 were done in the last 24 hours.
Authorities said they are trying to break the transmission chains, but the number can increase, if people do not take seriously the need for social distance, hygiene measures and circulation reduction.
