Forty-one travellers who arrived in Cabo Delgado recently are currently under quarantine in their own homes, Radio Mozambique reports.
More than 4,500 people have been screened over the last three weeks at the main points of entry in the province of Cabo Delgado as part of the programme to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
The quarantined individuals all arrived from countries affected by Covid-19. They are quarantined at home in the cities of Pemba and Montepuez and subject to regular monitoring by the local health authorities.

In an interview with Radio Mozambique, Cabo Delgado Chief Medical Officer: Magid Sabune: said there were no suspected cases of the disease in the province.
“Fortunately, neither at the airport, nor now that they are being monitored, do any of them show any signs, even of raised temperatures,” he said.
