Shelton Lalgy, who was abducted on the morning of the 28th of November last year by unknown individuals in a white Toyota Noah without license plates as he returned home from exercising, was released last week by his kidnappers.
A source close to the family confirmed this to ‘Carta de Moçambqiue’ on Saturday night, saying, without giving further details, that Shelton Lalgy was by then already reunited with his
family.
On January 16 of this year, the Provincial Director of the National Criminal Investigation Service (SERNIC) in Maputo Province, Benjamina Chaves, remarked on the complexity of the case, saying that the authorities were working to resolve the matter without the family’s collaboration.
The Lalgy family are understood to have put part of their fleet of trucks up for sale in connection with the case.
