Chinese President Xi Jinping and his Mozambican counterpart Filipe Nyusi have signed a comprehensive strategic partnership.
The two countries say the agreement will “strengthen security cooperation” in areas like “defense, maintaining stability and security.”
Nyusi’s six-day visit to China is his second and includes bilateral talks with Chinese leaders and also to visit export-oriented provinces.
“Both sides will further strengthen security cooperation. China is willing to continue to support Mozambique in its capacity building in the aspects of defence, maintaining stability and security.”
