“Transições – Um porto que nunca dorme” is a photographic exhibition that portrays Maputo Port as never before. From infrastructure transformation to generational issues, photographer Joca Faria explores the various transitions that take place at the port each day.
This is the photographer's first exhibition in his home country (he held a joint exhibition in Leiria, Portugal in 2006) and it is also the first exhibition on display at Galeria, a new cultural and exhibition space which was recently opened at the Maputo Port Cabotage Terminal.
About the photographer:
JOCA FARIA (Born in Mozambique, 1968)
Faria has been a programmer, military man, client manager, flame artist, special effects technician, designer, sound designer (and more), but he traded everything for photography. He likes picture, smiles and the color green. Faria is taken with details. He says he is sensitive to the invisible. He tells life stories with images. Loves to work in a team, think in concepts and solve problems.
