From a Court in Brooklyn, New York, comes almost irrefutable evidence that the Frelimo party received millions of dollars from a company linked to the so-called ‘hidden debts’ allegedly contracted in favour of three Mozambican public companies.
It was learned on Monday of last week that the Frelimo Central Committee received a total of US$10 million into its Millennium bim account through small instalments transferred between at 2:58 p.m. on 31 March and 3 July 2014.
The party has however remained silent in the face of these revelations.
No one from Frelimo wants to talk. No leader agrees to publicly address the issue, reads a Savana report.
In fact, adds the same source, the evidence presented by FBI agents is crystal clear and unquestionable. Everything is registered. These are dates, times, types of transactions, accounts involved and all the details.
On Wednesday, Savana tried several times to contact Frelimo spokesman Caifadine Manasse. Our several attempts were unsuccessful. Put simply, Manasse did not answer our calls. Sometime later, he texted that he could not speak at that time.
We sent smses, but the party spokesman preferred to remain mute, answered nothing. He simply ignored the message asking for a “brief comment” on the transfer of US$10 million to Frelimo Central Committee.
The transfer was made from an account of a Privinvest subsidiary, Logistics International SAL offshore, domiciled at Gulf First Bank Abu Dhabi.
We then tried to contact Frelimo Secretary General Roque Silva. He also preferred silence, not even sending a signal indicating his inability to speak. He really preferred silence – absolute silence.
