About Nelson and Tania
Nelson & Tânia Chongo are the children of the Mozambican legends of marrabenta Carlos & Zaida Chongo, and have been into music since their childhood.
The duo have musical records scattered in various national collections, with emphasis on the themes: Filho de Peixe, Mwingi Wa Mamani, Hoyozela Mukonwana, Nirhandze Wena, Uketile, Mavele, Mabarrapeni, Uniyenguile.
In 2015, as a way to immortalize their parents, the duo designed and recorded a CD Tribute to Carlos & Zaida Chongo, which was attended by several local artists. (Source: fflc.org.mz)
