About the event
Nkaringana Wa Nkaringana (Once Upon a Time). Based on African oral tradition.
`When a grandmother returns, there are lifelong stories that fill the tales of a lifetime: from the immensity of love to the emptiness of war. The children with grandfather could escape her because they had the peace of their stories ... They grew up with the dream of better worlds. Alberto Magassela was one of those boys who now perpetuates the magical subject matter of the oral African tradition he received. From the manipulation of the tale and crossing it with loose guitar and piano notes, the actor shares with the audience unique experiences they have lived or brought by the vibration of the tales in their memories. These are stories that fill the imagination and bring cultures together. And there are different words that are Portuguese ... or not ... They may be another language of those spoken in the world of Lusophony. They are sounds, words and silences: stories that tie us to the imagination without borders.
