Cabo Delgado Judicial Court has a new presiding judge in António Fernando Sebastião Matimule, the tenth to be appointed to the post since the Judicial Court of the Province of Cabo Delgado began operating.
Herzelina Manjate, the first woman to head the judicial court in Cabo Delgado, has been transferred to the Labour Court in Maputo, where she occupies the same position, but was present at the inauguration ceremony of her successor, António Matimule.
The ceremony was witnessed by court staff and guided by the Chief Judge of the Superior Court of Appeal of Nampula, Pascoal Jussa
Despite not being able to close all cases concerning the armed attacks in Cabo Delgado, Herzelina Tembe, who has been in the province for about two years, leaves the court with a sense of mission fulfilled, and the new judge president promises changes.
António Matimule is the tenth presiding judge of the Judicial Court of Cabo Delgado and has the difficult task of continuing to drive forward the cases concerning the armed attacks in Cabo Delgado and extending justice to four districts that do not yet have courts.
