Mozambique’s Polana Hotel receives two prizes at World Travel Awards 2016

The “most famous Hotel in Maputo”, Polana Serena Hotel, has recently received two awards at the ceremony of the “World Travel Awards 2016”: Leading Hotel and Leading Hotel Suite Mozambique.
Regarded as the Oscars of the travel industry, the awards recognize, reward and celebrate excellence in all sectors of global tourism.
The prize award gala, held at the Hotel Diamonds La Gemma dell’Est in Zanzibar, Tanzania, was a successful night for the Serena Hotels. The leading hotel group in East Africa was also awarded over 10 awards, including the top award, “Africa’s Leading Hotel Brand.”
Serena Hotels took top honours with its Nairobi Serena Hotel named “Africa’s Leading Green Hotel”. This is the second time that the Group won this award in recognition of the commitment hotels and groups should maintain for sustainable business practices.
Companies nominated for the World Travel Awards are voted online by individuals and travel agents globally on issues such as customer relations, creativity and quality of service standards, customer satisfaction, product innovation and business vision. The results are inspected and reviewed by a group of industry experts and all votes are audited internally to ensure the validity of each individual vote.
