World Bank arm backs $400m Mozambique transmission plan

A joint Italy–Mozambique Forum discussing ‘Energy, Oil and Gas and Sustainability’ will take place on Wednesday 10 July at the Assolombarda headquarters in Milan.
Organised by Assolombarda and ANIMP in collaboration with the Embassy of Mozambique in Italy, Mozambican employer’s association the CTA and the Mozambique-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CCMI), the event aims to facilitate business opportunities and cooperation between the two countries.
Assolombarda is an association of companies operating in Milan and in the provinces of Lodi, Monza and Brianza.
The opening session will see the presence of Mozambican President Filipe Nyusi, the Mozambican Minister of Mineral Resources and Energy, Max Tonela, and other Italian and Mozambican officials. After presentations by Italian companies operating in the country in the energy sector, large Mozambican groups such as Anadarko and ENH will also have input.
