About the event
The project began in 2017, in the context of the artistic collaborations that have been carried out by the Festival Raiz, where artists with different musical styles come together to create more groupings with a more complex artistic proposal.
The project integrates four very distinct artists in the traditional way, which constitute a symbiosis of various rhythms with instruments originating from ethnic groups in central and southern Mozambique.
The songs are sung in Nhúngue, Echuabo and Changana.
Under the direction and artistic production of Pak Ndjamena, the group includes instrumentalist, instrument builder and composer Maneto Tefula, composer and performer Stela Manuel, percussionist Ndzondza Tivane and master of traditional instrument builder Madala Matusse.
