About the event
The Music Festival is a famous party that has existed in France for more than 30 years. Its realization in Maputo has been established as an annual event, adapting itself to the local context and providing the Mozambican public with a popular event of free access, with a great variety of musical styles for all tastes and for all ages.
Each year, there are over 1,500 people who enjoy this festival at CCFM. This year, the CCMA-Mozambican-German Cultural Center will be joining this party and thus invited the Freak de l'Afrique group from Berlin, a group of afrobeats with roots in Angola, Ghana and Senegal, for a cultural exchange with artists and public of Mozambique, Maputo. The FdlA invited the young producer of well-known music in the local cultural scene, Ell Puto and the percussionist, singer and composer from the band Kappa Dech and Pymenta.
The main objectives of this party are:
- Promote Mozambican music;
- Spread recognized artists and young talents;
- Celebrate different musical styles;
- To propose an event totally free, for all the public in general.
With an eclectic program, including a great diversity of music genres ranging from classical music, to popular music, to hip hop, blues, electronic, afro jazz, traditional and world music, the event offers a varied program with the intention of reaching the general public, without forgetting the children and young people, creating a family atmosphere and making this day a unique moment of conviviality in the garden and CCFM stages.
With a series of free concerts throughout the day, a handicraft and gastronomy fair and even children's entertainment, this great party has a unique and great purpose: the celebration of music!
