Chissano distinguished as emeritus professor by Mozambique police academy ACIPOL

The former president of Mozambique, Joaquim Chissano, was on Friday awarded the title of Professor Emeritus of the Academy of Police Sciences (ACIPOL), in recognition of his decisive role in the creation of the institution.
Speaking at a ceremony celebrating the institution’s 20th anniversary, the Mozambican statesman said that he felt honoured by the gesture, and noted that his work and the work of those who had worked with him had no such distinction in view.
