About Lindigo
Maloya was the music of the slaves who in former years had to toil in the sugar cane fields of Madagascar, and until today, it has remained the music of the Island of Reunion. This is where Lindigo, an eight-strong band, come from, developing Maloya and celebrating this music with a vengeance. The good spirits of their ancestors whirl around with them on stage when frenetic rhythms, gentle melodies and call-and-response songs merge into a very magical contemporary sound.
