Mozambique: LAM expects to take delivery of newly acquired aircraft this April
NAS invests US$45 million in improving LAM services

Qatar-based National Aviation Services (NAS) is to invest US$50 million over the next three years improving services available to users of Mozambique Airlines.
The company will build and manage six boarding lounges at Maputo, Beira, Nampula and Pemba airports, and run operations at Maputo International Airport from the beginning of June.
Mozambique Airlines director general João Carlos Pó Jorge announced the development at the signing of the agreement with the National Aviation Services in Maputo yesterday.
NAS operates at more than thirty-five airports and manages services on seven major airlines.
Flamingo Club
As part of its long-running restructuring process and in response to market challenges, Mozambique Airlines has been innovating more and more with customer services.
This time, the emphasis is on the modernisation of waiting rooms before and after boarding, thanks to an agreement signed this Monday in Maputo between LAM and National Aviation Services, which foresees new services entering into operation next June.
The contract covers the reconstruction and management of a total of six lounges in Maputo, Nampula, Tete, Pemba and Beira, although the chairman of the NAS board of directors has noted that the contract does not set any deadline for implementation.
The rooms will serve LAM passengers who are members of the business class ‘Flamingo Club’, as well as other passengers from other airlines.
