About the event
"My father is not just a Poet," said the writer Mia Couto in a big interview on a TV station when he was asked about Fernando Leite Couto, his father, Armando Jorge and Fernando Amado. The fortune of these words lies in the force that projects them over time, opening various interpretative possibilities for those who are interested in knowing the work of Fernando Leite Couto.
And in this case it happens with the four artists, leaning on the poem RUMOR DE ÁGUA, where each one in his own way was composing on the surface of the screen the glittering images of this poem that celebrates a vibrant affection, contaminated by a tender lyricism.
Antonio Ernesto Silimo, Celma Costa ', Samuel Djive and Yok Chan summoned to their brushstrokes images adorned by the talent of each one, testifying that the Patron of this house is not only Poet, besides journalist, editor, translator, but also a painter and above all an agitator of ideas, decorating him with the medal of complicity. Word-by-word, verse-by-verse, the artists gave him the "human dimension and senses that give his eyes, body and voice" in a monument with four hands.
When going through the exhibition it is interesting to do the exercise, the interpretive enjoyment of the works created on the RUMOR OF WATER. And with our reading let us check the permanent dialogue of arts and letters on this legacy of the poet Fernando Leite Couto.
