A week into the solidarity movement in support of Cyclone Idai survivors in the centre of the country, the government of Cabo Delgado has decided to include victims of the armed attacks in Cabo Delgado in the campaign.
People displaced by the attacks are scattered across villages and towns, with the National Institute for Disaster Management now preparing support for the district of Meluco, where insurgents last Sunday stormed a village and murdered civilians.
The solidarity movement for those displaced by armed attacks in Cabo Delgado was announced at a ceremony marking the sending of the first 11 tons of food and drinking water to victims of Cyclone Idai.
