President of European Council Antónoo Costa meets Mozambique President Daniel Chapo in Seville

The European Commission’s Director General for International Cooperation and Development, Stefano Manservisi, is to pay a three-day visit to Mozambique from next Thursday, March 7, to strengthen ties of cooperation links with the European Union.
During the visit, four financing agreements for the PROMOVE programme covering the transport, agriculture, biodiversity and trade sectors will be signed.
Manservisi will also attend the Ministerial Meeting of the Portuguese-speaking African Countries and Timor-Leste (PALOP-TL), where he will sign two project financing agreements for the promotion of employment in the cultural sector (ProCulture) and for strengthening financial management systems in PALOP-TL.
Manservisi’s 7 to 9 March visit will address topics of mutual interest between the European Union and Mozambique in meetings with President Filipe Nyusi, Speaker of the Assembly Verónica Macamo, and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation José Pacheco.
