Cabo Delgado governor urges journalists to work for the province’s development

Cabo Delgado governor Júlio Parruque has asked journalists to produce news and information that promotes stability, harmony, peace and cohesion, in order to strengthen national unity in the province, the Facebook page of the Cabo Delgado Provincial government reports.
“We know this is the ‘fourth estate’. It can build, but it can also destroy. However, what we want is a press that contributes to the multifaceted development of Cabo Delgado,” Governor Parruque said on Saturday (23-02) at a meeting with journalists in Pemba.
He pointed out that, although each media organ has its own editorial line, the profession as a whole must work with an abiding patriotic spirit.
The meeting with journalists formed part of a cycle of meetings with different sectors the governor is conducting.
