Maputo Central Hospital, the country’s biggest healthcare centre, attended 454 cases on 31 December and 1 January, the institution said on Wednesday.
The patients included 25 victims of road accidents, 23 of physical aggression and 24 suffered falls, the hospital spokesman, Ivânia , said at today.
The HCM also received five cases of burns caused by fireworks.
Dr Marcos said that the Mozambican population was slowly becoming more aware of the dangers of fireworks.
