Health sector and FHI allocate 6 motorcycles and hospital equipment to districts of Chinde and Mopeia

Two of the 6 motorcycles offered by the Health sector and FHI

The six motorcycles and diverse hospital equipment aim to supply the needs of the Matilde and Jorge Health Centers in the district of Chinde and other health units in the district of Mopeia. Concretely the motorcycles will support the intensification of mobile brigades for vaccination and deworming of children in the interior areas without health centers.

Hidayat Kassim Provincial Health Director says circulating resources will also support active searches for drop-outs of HIV / AIDS treatment. “We are in the district of Chinde with a seroprevalence of 5.5 percent and 7.2 in the district of Mopeia, which is why we have to redouble our efforts to prevent new infections.”

Unlike Mopeia, Chinde is a coastal district that is difficult to reach, and the Zambezi River is reached by the river or by air. This reason places that district in want of many actions for the well-being of the population.

Recently the district of Chinde received an ambulance allocated with funds of the health ministry.
