Pope Francis last Friday named Father António Juliasse Ferreira Sandramo as Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of Maputo, according to a communiqué from the Apostolic Nunciature of Mozambique, cited by Notícias
Father Sandramo, of the Chimoio Diocesan Clergy, was born on March 20, 1968, and attended the Interdiocesan Philosophical Seminary of St. Augustine in Matola, Maputo province, and the Theological Seminary of St. Pius X in the capital of the country.
He was ordained priest on June 28, 1998, and since 2010 has serving as parish priest in Chimoio cathedral. Father Sandramo is also a lecturer in anthropology at the Catholic University of Mozambique (UCM).
